It's been a while that I've been thinking that plone could be a nice and feature fit replacement for SharPoint.
Before settling on SharePoint, read this. You might save a "couple" of bucks.

Open Atrium looks promising too. It's based on drupal, but specifically designed for Intranets. http://openatrium.com/
